I am 47. The last dates I had were 25, 28 and 36. All wanted more dates.
58 should be your limit.
He was so rude I can’t even believe it. You did the right thing. Date closer to your age or younger!

Yeah. Not really worth crowd sourced analysis. You tell your friends over drinks, laugh, and move on.

OP, that question might've shocked me and I might not have had the presence of mine to respond as you did, but if I had, that is exactly how I would have responded. That's a very personal question and completely inappropriate in a first conversation.
from the OP’s post I don’t think it was the first conversation .

Because the question was peppered into general conversation, I couldn't tell why he wanted to know that. I responded quickly. Later, I figured it was because he was appraising me for sex. Either wondering if I could get pregnant, had a libido or am I dried up. He killed any interest I had in him. The date was meant to get to know each other. The question was inappropriate.

We were talking on the phone a few days ago and he asked me, "Are you menopausal?" We were just talking about general things when he asked that. I told him that was a personal question. I didn't tell him, but I still have regular cycles. I texted him the next day and informed him I was cancelling the date and I wish him well. He replied, "Got it." No question here, just wondering how others would respond.
He got his answer in spades sounds like.![]()
Were you acting odd and that's why he asked? Or was he hoping you might still have a child?

They are at about the same point in life biologically speaking.
Men are usually around 10-20 years behind women.
