My very science-based OBGyn had that advice. So I never considered a version. Good thing, definitely hugh chance it would have resulted in the death of #3. C-section protected him from the knots in his cord compressing.

I know people say you can feel when they turn, but I didn’t. Obviously could feel kicks in my ribs after that though.
OP here: she was a vaginal birth and was head down pretty much the entire pregnancy. So this one has been very different!
That's good news then. I read that many babies who were breech were that way due to mom's anatomy, which is why many women have multiple breech babies. Hopefully your baby will turn. As a 2nd baby they likely have more room and don't feel the need to turn yet.

Baby 2: head down, unmedicated vaginal
Baby 3: breech, did ECV complete surgical spinal, didn't feel a thing. Got induced at 41.2 weeks, unmedicated vaginal
Baby 4: transverse, opted for scheduled c-section at 39 weeks.

But now he is just sideways and not budging haha. So my OB has now scheduled me for a version(which I may still opt out of) on the day of my induction/scheduled C-section.
Just be careful, my baby was breech because the cord was wrapped around her neck - I heard them counting as they unwrapped her - 3 times. I had an ECV and they could get her halfway and then sprung back. Happened several times before they finally gave up. I'm glad it didn't work, it could have been disastrous.
