Yes. Stay away from C2. Had a terrible experience at the Bethesda location.

Anonymous wrote:We used C2. It worked for both of my kids who are now a rising sophomore and freshman in college. What they needed was a structured time to sit and do problems with a tutor available to explain things they didn't get. C2 fit this need.
Each ended up going from about a 1400 to a 1550. Could I have accomplished this myself? Sure. But with C2 they drove themselves to tutoring and I didn't have to sit over them and nag them. They had a standing tutoring time each week that they didn't miss. There was no: "no mom, I don't want to do SAT studying now."

Decent tutors. But at neither locations they taught how to use Demos for Math. That was a big red flag for me.
Their methods are still geared to the old paper SAT Tests.
At Bethesda one staff said they have someone there that worked for College Board and has access to the tests. bogus? Anything to get a new customer? Any other companies where you pay up front for tutoring or test prep?
A staff member who worked for CB but no longer works for CB? If currently working with CB, that's a conflict, but plenty of people move around these kind of companies for work.
But I don't know if they can just leave CB with a ream of tests...
