Stop eating. Only eat healthy small square meals. It is simple. Not easy but simple.

No. It’s not that simple

It is simple. There were no fat concentration camp victims. Calorie restriction works all the time, every time.

WTF is wrong with you????

People acting like "cutting calories doesn't work". Uh, it works 100% of the time. Just tired of people lying or overcomplicating the energy-intake portion of this equation. It is simple but not easy to push the cake away.

The fact that you would talk about concentration camps and weight loss in the same sentence is just sick. There is something wrong with you, in addition to the fact that you are clearly a huge B.

You don't have to be fat! You can be regular sized! There is an actual science behind it. Obesity isn't a psychological thing or about "calories in, calories out" and exercising -- it's all about insulin resistance. If you can get into ketosis by cutting out carbohydrates and doing intermittent fasting, your insulin level will drop and your body will burn off the spare fat over time. There was a guy in Scotland who fasted 381 days and lost hundreds of pounds. For real! Google it! The Obesity Code by Jason Fung does a really good job explaining this process, and also the books by Gary Taubes. These are all available at the library and there are also tons of podcasts and YouTube videos about this.

5 lbs. a month is a healthy rate of loss. Keep it up and you’ll reach your goal. DH lost a lot of weight rapidly (no drugs) a few years ago. He gained it all back and more. Now he has health problems that are really difficult to treat.

I think slower is a better way to go for most people but it takes patience.

Good luck.

DP That is what I do, but I am still overweight. It is just who I am. Big heavy bones with a decent amount of muscle, long torso and short neck will do it.

So have you gained all the weight back?

Anonymous wrote:OP here. I just love food. I don’t have much stress in my life and I don’t eat out of shame. I just love food so, so much. I’m on 5 mg. I have lost 25 lbs since feb. now 185. I do exercise almost every day, but I did that before losing weight because I love it.

You are losing weight. Get yourself a therapist, you clearly have mental health issues. Increase your dosage.

Increasing the dose helped me through a stall. I then moved back down. Maintaining. Miracle drug. Good luck!

+1. I am on 5 mg and still losing less than a pound a week. The food noise is back and I have been feeling like snacking so that means I need to titrate up to 7.5. I will have been on 5 mg for three months when I go up which I am comfortable with.

Anonymous wrote:I also love food, but I really love nourishing my body with delicious, healthy food. When I started listening to podcasts about health and nutrition, it was like a lightbulb went off (Rich Roll, Simon Hill, and Zoe Science and Nutrition are very informative and motivational).

If it's making better food choices that is the issue, then I would try incorporating more vegetables and fiber into your diet rather than focusing on what foods to eliminate. Hopefully increasing those healthier foods will lead to a decrease in the more indulgent foods, and your palette will also begin to change. I work on finding delicious sides (such as roasted miso cauliflower) and adding more veggies to existing dishes (such as pesto pasta with spinach, mushrooms, and eggplants). This blog has lots of tasty veggie ideas: https://www.loveandlemons.com/

You are already on the path and should celebrate all that you've accomplished: seeking help, losing weight, and consistently exercising. You can do this final step!

This is such a great and healthy attitude.

We all love food

But I have also learned to love healthier foods, I especially love how I feel mentally and physically when I eat them. I still indulge, but portion control and not as often.

DP. Actually, not everyone loves food, pp. There are people who are in the "food is fuel" type who really just eat because they need to. I know a few of them and they will just eat whatever is available because they want to get on with whatever else they are doing.
