Because Brits are drunks

We set it out when we have a party because we don't drink it ourselves and hope others will. Where else would be put it?

I like the tasteful drink carts in theory but we have teenagers, and it doesn’t feel right (or smart) to have alcohol out in the open and so accessible all the time at this point, until they are adults.

It’s only low class if the butler isn’t wearing a tux.

We keep the full bottles hidden to try to limit having them walk off. But the best used ones make for good candle holders.

Perhaps you should get adult friends then.

Frat boys displaying Bud Light cans is not the same thing as displaying $200-$5000 bottles of liquor.

People displaying $200-$5000 of liquor are on the far end of the pathetic scale. A discreet liquor cabinet exists for a reason. A table of bottles is very alcoholic 1980s. But if your inspiration is Dallas or Dynasty, go for it.

That was addressed already, to hide booze during prohibition or by certain protestant religious groups who prohibit drinking but still do it.

These incessant “low class” posts are so dumb.
