it's a shame that the good DEI has been swept away along with all the shady stuff like BLM, etc.
What is the difference between disabilities and people of color in terms of what’s acceptable assistance? Neither group can control their disability/color. Both groups are traditionally discriminated against.
I think you meant "historically" - there's no "tradition" of discriminating based on disability or skin color. Regardless, focusing on merit alone (rather than discriminating to fix historical injustices) should solve for any discrimination going forward.

the coffee shop that employs people with disabilities seems like a noble enterprise, but BLM was exposed as a con where the founders made off with millions of dollars - that was my point.
BLM is one organization. It is not now nor has it ever been the entirety of DEI. Heck it wasn’t even the main thing.

You are unbelievably ignorant and gullible or you are a complete a-hole. Which is it?

Dude, if we focused on merit alone, president, VP and the entire cabinet would not be where they are now. We should fight the real DEI, under which undeserving white people (mostly white men actually) manage to get in front of the line.
This is a silly, and racist, conclusion. Just as racist as saying DEI puts undeserving African, Latin, Asian, and Middle Eastern men and women in the front of the line.
What was wrong with what they said. No one in the cabinet is qualified. Hegseth? Kristy? Linda McMahon with didn't know the different between AI and A1 steak sauce?

Tracking has been a discussion in education for DECADES! It has nothing to do with the current DEI discussion. My mom was a teacher for 38 years and it was a topic 38 years ago.
Dumbing down the curriculum because "diverse" students can't handle the subject matter has been around a long time
Jeannie Oakes asked for it to to be formalized across the country and it was under the umbrella of DEI. Randi Weingarten had more power than Miguel Cardona ever did.
The progressives have completed their rot.
You think you can just run away from progressive ideas now?? This is gonna be uber inconvenient for you: you can't.
Posts like this and then posts that we are pushing kids too hard, overschedule them, push too hard for taking Algebra I in 6th grade. Narrative seems to change for convenience.
