What about military, senior, child, disabled etc. discounts? Is it tacky to ask for those if you aren't poor?

I think the purpose of the multi-sibling discount is to offer opportunities for children from large families to participate. They may not come from a poor family (though they could), but they may come from a family that can afford 1 or 2 children playing, but not 3, 4, or 5. Sure, those children don't have to play, but the point of the discount is to offer opportunities for them if they would like to.

No way. Subsidizing someone's large family is very different from financial aid for poor kids.

This, 100% this. Your multiple kids are each taking a space on the roster, each developing from time from the coach, each playing on the rented fields. Need help because your HOI is poverty rate, sure. Want help because you have so many kids and it's expensive, no way.

So many people making assumptions... it's not an expectation, but if available I will take it. Would you deny a discount if the club offered one to you?

I have 3 kids, I don’t expect discounts but I will ask for them and will take them if it’s offered. I mean I got discounts for stuff before I had kids. Just ask and be nice about it.
