I considered that but am pretty sure she goes into my bedroom when I’m away at work. Would definitely want to check out what was inside a mini fridge if she saw one there.

And I wish my bedroom door would lock but it doesn’t!

That's very very easy to remediate, and it will give you a lot more of your privacy back beyond just the meds.
Just pick up a new keyed doorknob. You'll need a screwdriver, and less than five minutes to install.

Amazon sells fake soda cans, pb jars, etc that you can hide things in. You just need to find a variety that no one will want to eat or drink.

Wow, I would not have her in my house. Sorry. No one violates my own privacy in my own home. Get a mini fridge that can lock and hide it.

Otherwise your spouse is under the weather suddenly and she can't come visit.

Just wrap it in a paper bag and tape it shut with packing tape.

Is this really true?

Yes, you can confirm with your pharmacist

I would wrap it up well and then wrap in a plastic bag with tape and a big label “stool sample for doctor”. And leave in the fridge. Maybe “urine and stool sample”.

I also have a horrid MIL.

If she makes fun of you, glare. Seriously. Say nothing and glare.

+1. I'm kind of a hypocrite here because I'm on Zepbound and I don't own up to it to most people, but I think I'd draw the line with an in-law who is a guest in my home, snooping and then making fun of me.
