I’m going to speculate that it was some kind of food poisoning because other members were sick. Whatever meds he was treated with somehow stopped his heart overnight. Or it’s possible he had some underlying heart condition no one knew about.

QT prolongation, especially when leading to the life-threatening arrhythmia torsades de pointes (TdP), can be fatal and cause sudden cardiac death.

Maybe it was brought on by the illness itself or whatever meds he was given.

My daughter once too. She turned bright red and heart racing. Went to ER where they gave her ?? And watched her for a few hours. Never ate blue fish again.

NP - you are incredibly uneducated. Yes, Costa Rica is *in* Central America, which is a geographic region which tells you nothing about the area other than where it is. But as the PP said, it doesn't have the same issues as many other countries - you can drink the water from the tap, for example.

It’s near third world countries and in an unsafe part of the world. Plus you can get Zika from mosquitoes there. No thank you!
