No self respecting teen will want to wear anything from Ann Taylor.
Ann Taylor is middle aged mom and hip grandma store.
Get her separates. A black pair of dress pants or an inexpensive basic black bias cut skirt. Pair it with a simple black sweater or top.
Or get a simple sheath or bias cut dress.
Done.
None of these options are remotely appropriate for a funeral. It's a funeral, not junior prom!
Do not make the poor girl wewr something from Ann Taylor. She is not 57.

This one is a bit matronly, but for $17.20 she could make it work for a funeral.

Except for the last one, this are some seriously crazy options. It's a funeral, not junior prom.

Not everyone's families are culturally of that mindset, PP. We have East Asian and European grandparents and relatives and had to go to some funerals in both locales. Every time, it was black formalwear, no exceptions, even for kids. I am sure some American families are like this as well.
Indeed. Especially if you're immediate family of the deceased.

Too short and too tight for a funeral - athleisure is not appropriate.

My thought too.
