I will honk the entire light.
You both sound deranged.
I hate bad drivers and never hesitate to give them clear & immediate feedback. Feel free to be a doormat.
Anonymous wrote:Honk and don’t stop. Who is an inconsiderate prick to the point they think they have justification for blocking an entire lane for a whole light cycle? Unreal. Pure selfish behavior that should be ostracized.

So, do a U-turn or go around the block. More to the point, this driver thinks they’re more important than everyone else. Which is quite common if you live in the DMV.

She doesn't have to turn to accommodate you. You're not special. Just wait a minute. You'll be fine.
You are an imbecile. It's not about accommodating anything or anyone. You can't just stop in the middle of the damn road whenever you feel like and cause a massive traffic jam. F you.
Anonymous wrote:Absolutely infuriating. God, people are so stupid in America. Not only the driver you describe, but absolute imbeciles in this thread who defend this garbage. You think the crap out of them to shame. You do not hold up traffic for an entire cycle because you're trying to turn from a straight going lane.
The a hole is either trying to cut in front of the line because they don't want to wait at the end of the left turn lane. Or they're not familiar with the area (no excuse). If you aren't familiar with an area an miss a turn, it isn't that big of a deal. You keep driving and do a U turn or go around then block. Everyone has GPS these days, you'll get re-routed. You don't stop in the middle of the damn road.
Morons in this thread.

Then they shouldn't be driving in a city.

Anonymous wrote:OP, you are right that this is annoying and she should have gone straight. However, I doubt that any of the people ahead of you who just changed lanes are still stewing about this. When you get angry at something like this it stays with you longer. Start honking and you get angrier and work yourself up.
I am curious if the horn honking made her move/ go straight? I used to be a prolific horn honker for this type of thing and it rarely helped- the only times I find horn honking to change behaviors is when the person doesn't actually know that she is doing something wrong- eg about to merge into her blind spot; about to turn the wrong way down a one way street without seeing the signs. Self centered people like this woman are not going to change their ways because someone five cars back is honking. But the person next to you and any nearby pedestrians are going to hear it and be more annoyed
