When my kids started HS it looked possible for them to take 14 APs. They didn't though.
Through 11th? I know my kid could take 12 through the end of HS, but I don't think through 11th and we are at a strong FCPS school. I think a freshman could not possibly take more than 2, and one of those would be AP Pre-Calc.
OP here. The answer was 7, with a total of 13 through senior year. In my kid's case, he could have taken AP human Geo freshman year (which would have made it 8) and added that, but otherwise, he was full with sports and foreign language.

My DS said that he’d submit AP scores to Georgetown then never did. Still got in EA.

This tells you all you need to know about grade inflation and BS GPAs. You can’t even take close to this number at top and even most privates.
