I've had 2 gorgeous boyfriends where the women "didn't see" me and openly approached them. I was cute and sexy but my BFs were out of this world.

We are all in our 60s now and still attract attention. One is married and the wife tells me this still happens.

Fat people marry fat people. I've noticed this in my adult life.

Same but I used to outearn him now he makes more but we’re still together. He’s way hotter than me, women openly offer him up either hit on him or tell him about their single friends. It’s something.

I know of a few scenarios where the wife is both schlubby after kids AND doesn’t bring anything financially to the table (no inheritance, SAHM).

Are you stupid? PP described the scenario above. Men and Women are equally attractive when they meet. Woman has multiple children, full-time job, no time to take care of herself like she used to. Meanwhile, husband continues to be selfish and takes all the time in the world he needs to work out, slacks off on the home front, and looks great.

OP probably describes me and my husband. I used to be thin, wore makeup all the time, had beautiful clothes for work and casual wear, and was very well put together. Three kids later and an an increasingly stressful job and some of that has fallen to the side.

Hmmm. I am that woman and my husband is pursued in front of my eyes by many women. He loves his life with me so much he doesn’t give it a thought, why? I cannot truly answer that, but the way he lights up when he sees me shows me how deep our connection is. Sorry op has not experienced that in a relationship.

Same here! I’ve always been plump but childbirth and age have added to what I already had. My husband is tall, slender and very handsome.

No family money but lots of love and laughs. Been together 25+ years and we’re still very devoted to and affectionate with each other.

They want someone who is shlubbyly comfortable in their skin, not someone who is trying to hide insecurities with makeup and designer wrappings.

I've seen many couples like this. I've seen a woman who was easily 200 lb with a tall attractive guy usually white. I think white guys are more forgiving in the looks department to women.

This is me. Burning the candle at both ends and work stress and menopause made me get overweight/. DH is naturally very thin . We were equally attractive when we got married but won’t be again unless I lose at least 30 pounds

I don't see any wives that are schlubby, but I do see lots of couples in middle age where the husband looks good and wife looks fine with some weight gain, usually is a mom. I wouldn't call that schlubby though.
