It's frustrating to pay so much money and then spend 15+ minutes standing in line after hours of traveling. And then the actual check in process takes like 20 minutes while trying to keep our little kids calm. When we stay at regular hotels we can do online check in with the click of a button and go straight to our rooms.
WDW really has it down now. We do online check in, and they text us the room number and we can use our phone app to get in the room. We skip the front desk totally.
Oh have they set this system up since we went this past winter? We were exhausted when we got to Port Orleans and stood in the wrong place in the reception area waiting to check in, nobody acknowledged us then a long line formed and we had to go to the back of that. 4yo DD was tired and hungry. Fun times.
We used it last month. But also 18 months ago and during COVID.
It was a breeze. But we did the pre check on on the Disney app.
Not an option at Port Orleans
Yes it is. Just Google it. You link everything up in the Disney World app.
Why wasn’t it available? Was this many years ago?
It was last year. Is it that hard for you to imagine that an app might say you have to go to the front desk to check in? Have you every even been to Port Orleans?

Anonymous wrote:This happens at every Caribbean resort - mid to high end - I have been to. At some mid range like Westins (thinking of Grand Cayman most recently), the check in line has literally been out the door.

NP here. We waited forever, 20 minutes, at a resort in Williamsburg to check-in. It is incredibly annoying. I’m tired, hot, hungry and they make you wait in line forever and then check in takes 15 min. Why???
