VT and UMD: 4.1 to 4.2
UVA: 4.3 to 4.3
So my best guess is the distribution is as follows:
4.0 and below: 15%
4.0 to 4.2: 25%
4.2 to 4.4: 45%
4.4 and above: 15%

I was told it is 3.9 unweighted. There's plenty we hear and are told, but then there's the Naviance data.
The Naviance data is at Graduation (end of senior year). I would expect it to be much higher than end of junior year on average because many more AP and post AP classes and research lab (post AP) is in there. So I’m guessing almost all weighted GPAs go up significantly. Average unweighted gpa at TJ is DEFINITELY not 3.9 junior year. The cutoff for nhs is unweighted 3.5 and plenty of kids don’t make it.
There is NO WAY the average ever is 3.9 - there isn't grade inflation at TJ. I'd guesstimate the average is 3.5 or lower unweighted.
