I am wondering where all of you shop. Macy's and TJM seem very similar to me these days.

I don't shop at these stores, mainly because I hate picking through things, but I certainly don't look down on people who do. You sound like a horrid troll.

Finally! Usually DCUM raves about these stores and I never understood why.

I ran into Ross and Marshall’s recently looking for something for a young kid to wear for a one time event that I didn’t have time to online order for. And wow, it was depressing. Not even just the quality of clothes but just overflowing, disorganized racks of cheap fabric. I remember occasionally going to these stores in my 20s (so maybe 15 years ago) and maybe I am misremembering, but they seem to have really gone downhill. On this most recent visit there were cheap knock off toys, stuffed animals and clothes and shoes strewn about in the walkways, harsh overhead lighting, etc. I left feeling so overstimulated and fortunate that I don’t have to shop there. I really wish the corporations would at least try to make things a bit nicer for the people who have to buy their kids’ clothes and toys there. But obviously stock prices can’t be sacrificed so it’s just a garbage experience.

Marshalls, TJ Max and rosses are all glorified thrift stores. Most of the crap is on the floor, stepped on, with bullet holes and blood stains on them. No thanks.

I am an average size so I never find anything there. I get the therapeutic aspect though, op.
