Clarence not taking the million dollars per year offer proves he’s taking in more than $750k in bribes in addition to his salary. We already know Ginny earned more than $600k some years. Clarence didn’t claim it on his disclosure statement for years but was allowed to “amend” his previously sworn document. I just don’t see how their story ends well.

There was an obvious solution to this. Jenny has real exposure for her activities around Jan 6. Garland should have put the screws to her and let them know the pressure stops when he retires.

At least under Roberts, but perhaps any Republican court, the Supreme Court has shown they believe themselves to be above the law.
This is a human problem, not a political party problem.
I’m watching Republicans contort themselves into crazy shapes to say that something is states rights except not in that specific case but it is here but again not in that case and it’s up to the people but no, not like that… Republicans literally do not think they are to be constrained within any kind of law, decision or custom, even when they themselves have been the ones to create that standard.
They have a lot of confidence that abandoning the rule of law is going to work well for them. Mussolini would like a word. Nicholas II, Marie Antoinette, and the entire 1950s Chinese petty bourgeoisie would also like a word.
But really- they do have confidence and nothing is happening to them. I'm sick of watching the bad guys win.
God. Me too. Especially since they seem to emulate clown car Austin Powere like levels of cartoon villainy. These people aren't Machiavellian geniuses. They're grasping, greedy, and not good at their jobs. So how do they win?
Grossly simplifying things, I think part of it is the Dems like to think it matters that they have moral high ground.
Let’s get a trifecta for the Democrats in 2024, with some real thick, juicy margins in the House and Senate and then see what the Democrats can do to address Clarence the Corrupt.

Unfortunately, we have always had such disgusting people among my race of people. Clarence Thomas is the real definition of Samuel L Jackson's character in the movie "Django Unchained". Pretty disgusting.
