Don't brag about your kid endlessly, ever, but especially not to another parent not in the same boat as you are.
I actually avoid parents entirely. I cannot stand it. My own family (parents, in-laws) are stressing me out too. People that generation have NO clue what a mess the college landscape is. It makes me feel like utter shit about our options.

You are not alone and in my book what you are feeling is completely normal. I silently screamed my head off 2 years ago.
Once the last submission deadline passes it be easier.
