I was initially super excited about Dazzle Dry - it definitely dried faster and lasted longer.

But every time I’ve had it my finger nails have ended up peeling and breaking.

I wish it didn’t happen bc I cannot make other manicures last longer than a couple days.

Im glad i read this info., all of that just happend to me, even the one on my hands which it only stays few days, my nails started breaking up, like big piece, almost after put it on, by the manicurist;the one on my feet,had the big white stuff the one person mentioned, happens to her. thats the reason im in this chat; looking for answer.

Professional manicurist with 30 years of experience here. The reason why your toenail has cracked in two is NOT from Dazzle Dry, it's because of bad manicurists behaving unprofessionally, have incorrectly filed the top of your natural nail trying to get rid of the white patches (or ridges -not suppised to do this) and have made the nail thinner and thinner with every pedi until there's nothing left. Then the ruined nail splits. The white patches are most probably nothing more than nail dryness which happens with every brand of polish. Many people don't know that nail polish continues to dry after application and shrinks pulling on the layers of the natural nail making them seperate, which creates these white patches. They eventually just grow out.

This is why finding a manicurist who has morals is especially important. All of my clients get their own sealed manufacturer's bag of nail supplies, I clean tools with soap and water first and then use a hospital disinfectant on everything. I only use a no leak liner but still it's the law to properly wash and disinfect the pedicure tub after every service, all disposables get thrown away, hands washed, disinfect the area after the client. All towels should be washed with bleach but don't throw up, many salons just put them in the dryer and reuse them.

Dazzle damaged my nails and still working thru the after shocks a year later. Nails are just starting to get healthy again but a few are still struggling. It was promoted as a healthy product. Any other options for nail polish that lasts for about 5-10 days?

I believe a break is necessary when using any nail polish . My nail tech tells me to take polish off a couple of days before I come in for next mani/pedi, regardless of type of polish system. I do like Dazzle though!!

This happened to me when I used the Essie nail polish that lasts longer in the twist bottle. White spots/ lines all over toenails and fingernails.

Dazzle Dry is a great nail product. It air dries super fast and is long lasting. With that said, I also find that if I wear it for a couple months my nails tend to get dry. This is due to the fact that it sticks so well to the nail and doesn’t chip off. I just stop wearing it for a couple of weeks and wear a strengthening base coat and my nails bounce right back to normal. Then I go right back to Dazzle Dry. I love it!

I’ve had this nail issue on my big toes and I only use regular polish - thanks to OP and all the others for explaining the cause and the PSA! Removing my toe polish tomorrow to breath for a month before true sandal season

I’ve had the white chalky thing on my toe nails as well, both after removing dazzle dry and regular polish.

The one thing that works to remove it is to run an electric nail file on the surface of your toe nails. This is the one I use

I use the brown tip that is for calluses on the surface of the nail very briefly ( you want to make sure it doesn’t thin your nail ) and it works like a charm

Me too.

Yes I don’t even use Essie polish because I’ve had issues. I do my own nails now and always use a base coat and OPI polish. I get dry white nails if I leave one color on too long.
