+118k jobs in September. July and August revised down -33k jobs, with August joining June as negative (a very bad summer for jobs)!

It wasn’t that long ago that the headlines were worried when job growth would dip below 200k. Now we basically had no job growth all summer, but the headlines are very neutral. Even the NYTimes has a headline of “Mixed Jobs Report”. Look at the last 5 months, very few job gains, but it’s ok because the rich are getting richer faster then before!

No one has revamped BLS.

Trump fired the BLS commissioner over the jobs report. I don't believe the BLS has changed at all, before or after that, but the jobs numbers do seem suspiciously rosy, in view of the constant reports of layoffs and firings and job cuts we've been hearing. I'm not looking forward to this month's revisions, that's for sure.
