Only one in the top division.
And what is the “top division?”
If you are referring to 6/5/4, you are sadly mistaken as many years the top team in the state has come from 5/4 and not 6.
4/5/6 ONLY signify the number of students enrolled in a school and not talent of a class.
Going back I would put up many 4/5 team as far superior to any 6 in the state. At 4, Atlee, Dominion and Glass have all had some of the top teams. At 5, the Stone Bridge “Maltz” teams, Briar and Riverside have all been consensus “best in state” teams.
And for all you sensitive private school folks, I am talking VHSL.
6A runs the state. 95% of the time the top team in 6A is the top team in the state (like Robo this year). bigger division, better players, more competition.
I believe every word of this is false.
You must be a child and not an adult who has been around for more than the 2020s.
As stated earlier, the top teams in the state going back several years are Riverside, Briar, stone Bridge, Atlee and Glass.

Not much any goal keeper can do when people get open shooting lanes with their hands free. #25 made a lot of great saves and was always spot on with outlet passes and clears. While this may not have been his best game, he still kept his team in the game.

Riverside has won 5 straight State Titles. They beat Madison, destroyed Atlee, beat STAB.... Who did RoBoBo play this year? Looks like they really challenged themselves with that tough game against Fauquier!
This is too funny. Robo has played quite literally every top team in 6A. Not to mention all though it was a scrimmage, beat riverside by 5 goals (as they do EVERY year in the preseason). There is a reason for different divisions.
LOL the ONLY reason for different divisions is school enrollment.
See realignment of teams going from 5 to 6 and 6 to 5 and even Champe from 6 to 4. Has nothing to do with past records and talent on the team.
Now for some facts- many years the top team in VHSL is from 4 or 5. The teams have already been listed. I will say that I think Robinson this year and only this year was the top team in VHSL. It does not carry over that 6 is better every year or that maybe a Riverside or Atlee were #2 and #3 in VHSL.
Also, if scrimmages count so would things like winter league and Robinson lost to Independence. Sure you can make all the excuses you want BUT the fact is that when you put your name to the team and they lose, own it. If Robinson is so much better then all of 6, a 5 or a 4 should not even be close- even missing players/ off season etc.

Liberty: Langley
They are the most talented team in the district by have the return of a four year starter on defense, the best fogo by far, the best offensive player in the district and a three year starter in goal with a top recruit 2028 goalie coming in too.
Concord: Madison
The warhawks are going to wipe the floor in the concord as usual with no real competition. They will have a senior veteran leading the defense as well as a top dmid as well. They are going to have to fill in holes on offense and goalie though.
Patriot: Robinson
With state championship momentum rolling into next season, the rams will cruise to another district title. Led by a top fogo and a strong defense with two of the top 2026 defensemen, the rams are going to be a hard team to stop next year.
Langley homer. Langley will struggle next year. They are losing at least 75% of their goal scoring from last year (0, 2, 3 annd 40). And #3 on McLean is the best returning offensive player in Libertyby far.
Madison’s goalie was a junior last year so he should be back.
I think that #8 on Langley and #37 on Yorktown are right there with #3 on McLean in terms of offensive talent
I think you haven’t watched any of them play if you honestly believe that
I thought this was a crazy statement too but just did a little research (assuming MaxPreps/YouTube are accurate) and maybe it is not so crazy.
#3 McLean (Rising Senior) - 73 Points (32 G, 41 A)
#8 Langley (Rising Junior) - 74 Points (49 G, 25 A)
#37 Yorktown (Rising Sophomore) - 70 Points (41 G, 29 A)
McLean hasn’t updated their stats in awhile. 3 finished with 92 points on the year. 43 goals and 49 assists. He also did it playing midfield and not attack. And as the only guy to worry about defensively against McLean. No idea how up to date the stats are for the other two
