Should be an exciting finish to Regions and then States.

No clue who is going to win but if you take a look at all blow-outs in the Women's D1 NCAA tournament (with all their talent) the differences between many of these VHSH 6A teams is so razor thin (Madison, Oakton, Woodson, Robinson, Battlefield) including very talented teams already eliminated such as Yorktown, South Lakes, and West Potomac.

Congrats to all teams still in the hunt for a state title and enjoy the moment.

Honor the game and respect other players/teams!

When a coach throws a fit about a girl on an opposing team, and makes that girl cry, more than just the parents of the girls on the coach's team have a right to complain.

At this point, this should be left to Oakton parents and school officials. If there is enough of a problem, let the people around the program complain and let the school deal with it. They got their hands full with the cheerleading situation and we will see how they handle this one. It’s really not for anyone to handle on anonymous message boards. If you are an Oakton parent/player and have an issue, talk to school officials or go to FCPS and report it. I am not convinced it’s more than a couple people with axes to grind. It sounds like the coach made a mistake and admitted it. If it goes beyond that, report it. Don’t come here and post about it. Let these girls finish out their season and deal with the repercussions going forward for the staff.

If I were you I would stay off of message boards and focus on beating the Warhawks when it matters…

2019 lost in districts
2020 (no season but would’ve likely lost in districts)
2021 lost in districts
2022 lost in districts
2023 lost in districts
2023 lost in regionals
