Gonzaga was competitive all year and beat both Prep and PVI (PVI's only loss).
SJC lost a close game in the championship.
The reality is there is more parity and better overall coaching in the area than ever before. We're unlikely to see any team secure years and years of consecutive dominance again.
+1
Look at the league champions in the local leagues over the past 4 seasons.
IAC: 2022 Bullis, 2023 Prep, 2024 Landon, 2025 Landon, 2026 GP
WCAC: 2022 SJC, 20223, SJC, 2024 Gonzaga, 2025 DeMatha, 2026 PVI
This is a good thing if you ask me!

1. Prep - definitely some losses at fogo in particular, but they have depth.
2. Landon - can they find a fogo?
3. SJC - talented roster once again. Can they actually win big games?
4. Gonzaga - a lot of young players got valuable experience this year.
5. St. Albans - could be best STA in more than a decade.
6. Good Counsel - lose a lot on offense
7. PVI - turn over a very big chunk of their roster
8. Bullis - thin roster becomes very, very sparse next year.
9. Episcopal - probably about the same as this year.
10. Heights - could 2027 be a dream year?
These look right.
Good Counsel drop off won’t be as dramatic as many people are projecting.
I’d put them at 4.
Gonzaga at 5
STA at 6
What about DeMatha?
Episcopal will be slightly better than they were this year .

Another season of God NOT being purple. Sad. Time for a new coach?

Anonymous wrote:Completely both. 12-6, 11-6, 12-5 with all those commits. So either the colleges are clueless or the coaching is underwhelming. Good, but nowhere near the shine they get in the lax world.

1. Prep - Won year end tourny. Lost to Bullis by one in reg season. Deepest/best talent. Great first year by Hilgy. They’ll be better next year.
2. Bullis - Won reg. season going undefeated. Also beat Haverford, Spalding, GC and Gonzaga. Yes, lost to STa in OT in tourny, but I chalk that up to a bad day.
3. STA - Up and coming program. Lots of young talent. Got better as year went along and I think program on rise and will challenge Prep next year. And yes, I know they beat Bullis in the tourny. They also lost to them the week before.
4. Landon - Avg year for the Bears. Not a noteworthy win, although they played Culver tough and pushed Prep a ton. Didn’t have normal grit across the field. Should be better next year.
5. Episcopal - Cabell is going to Cabell, but they still don’t have the talent. They’ll play hard and physical, but they have essentially a brand less style of play.
6. SSSA - What are we doing??
POY - Han- Prep - Won tourny (even if he wasn’t best player on field that day). Target of defenses all year, and still put up points. 5 star.
Runner- Up- Kuehl - Bullis - Hat trick against STa was the norm all year.
DPOY - Greene - STA, Wade - Bullis, McGlone- Prep… pick’em

Their 2027 class is pretty stacked, but they lost three key pieces. I think they’ll be spunky and snag a few big wins, but have some real ups and downs next year.
Administration needs to make the right hire for the program. This is a big moment.

Coaching or overhyped players? or both?
Wait until you see the all WCAC team
I'd have to imagine the coaches will be spreading it around this year.
A lot of head scratchers. Not sure anyone watches the games anymore or they just look at pre season lists and recruiting stars. Three FOGO’s on 1st team for whatever reason. Offensive players at positions they didn’t play and some who were non factors in most games and just didn’t produce.
