Very cute. She looks great in those slim cut pants and I love her jacket.
Her hair and makeup look greasy but I really hate that outfit. It fits her which is a nice change but navy black and teal is a lot gojng on and it just isn’t harmonized. The top is too heavy for the bottom. And that’s a lot of jewelry with those big buttons — might work if the look was more monochromatic but this is all busy lookkkg and like she’s wearing 2-3 different outfits. Also think it’s a little weird how much she clashes with her husband who is wearing the green tie in a nod to the Irish visit. I wonder if she asked for green pants and got the turquoise by mistake? It’s all a little odd.
The Irish TD’s wife’s dress is nice. You can buy it online for 190EU. I’m not sure how old she is — I think at least 65, right?
From the wwd article: While giving a speech about St. Patrick’s Day, JD Vance nodded to his wife’s outfit. “It’s also a really great opportunity for Usha to wear her pair of green pants. She’s had these in the closet for years and finally gets to break them out,” he said.
🤣 That answers that question. Never in the history of having something in my closet for years would I then think to take it for a spin on the world stage. Choosing the heavy black turtleneck under the navy blazer makes zero sense. I have a very similar navy blazer from Smythe and it’s a workhorse but it doesn’t work with black ffs.
Okay, this quote is just sad. JD, say less. You sound like an idiot. And you’re making her sound like she absolutely does not give a sh$t about this job. She pulled out some crap from her closet that she literally never wears because apparently she had put zero thought into this meeting until 10 minutes before. I wonder if they didn’t tell her she was going until the morning of, and then told her she needed to wear green? It’s like when your kid tells you at 8 am—oh, o need to dress like a cowboy for spirit day today and you’re pulling a random bandana out and saying that’s good enough. Is her staff just terrible?
And it doesn’t surprise me Trump didn’t wear green. He needs to wear the exact same thing every day, either as part of his OCD or because of his dementia. Trying to get him to switch the color of his tie is probably impossible. But JD will switch the color of his soul if his handlers tells him to.
ALL OF THIS. Plus those pants aren’t really even green. WTH?
Her husband calls them green, but they definitely photograph as turquoise, so it’s possible that they look green in person…
She needs a helper in this space, for sure.

is it possible she's color blind and also no one around her ever actually *looks* at her enough to be able to say, "hon, that's not the outfit"?

This has a touch of pageant tackiness with a bit of Russian stripper.

I’m not a fan of hers but her hair and makeup are on point.
Agree. And she dresses her body shape very well. All those outfits look great on her.

Oh my gosh, the jacket is so nice and the pants are so hideous. The whole outfit is a disaster.
So basic.
It’s not even basic, it’s the type of outfit you would end up wearing if your luggage was stolen.

That blazer is 💯 but the pants are a miss. I want a straight or wide leg with that blazer. Definitely not cropped.
