The COY critique is coming from within and not from any other programs it appears.

So, was it the coach that became unglued? Or was it the assistant s, too?

I’m more interested in what the oakton coaches said to the players after the game. Seems like a line was crossed big time if the head coach hd to apologize to the whole team. One of the adults not to far from oakton huddle said she heard lots of F Bombs being dropped and demeaning talk down to the players.
Anyone have any info

Yes, would love to know what this was about. Real or just trying to cause trouble because he’s COY?

Girls want to be treated equally like boy sports. You hear football and boys basketball coaches curse up a storm all the time. Do you think boys go home crying to mom and dad that a coach throw an F bomb out there? No. Coaches can be in the heat of the moment and curse out of intensity but it’s never directed at players. Toughen up already and stop being snowflake parents.

Poor girls! Games are not lost on the sidelines and after the game… games are lost on the field! Turnovers and poor decisions on the field by the players… that’s where seasons are crushed…blame game excuses is where this society gone… self accountability….

This is so sad to me. Poor girls. These coaches just crushed the season for them.

Already looking forward to Robinson-Woodson IV as Madison-Oakton discuss coulda-woulda-shoulda on the last games….

Note to team Madison and posters. This game is over and in the big picture won’t be remembered.

Focus on Robinson. Nothing else matters than being as prepared as you can for that next game.

Respect all the teams you are going to play and realize the opportunity/challenge another game with Oakton would be should you get there

A parent writing that senior players are not leading the team because they lost 2- 1 goal dog fight games is such crap. There is still a lot of lax to play. Crowning Madison the State Champs may be a bit premature. Other teams out there. One lackluster performance and you’re out. Spewing crap at coaches and parents is one thing. Attacking player’s efforts and leadership is way out of bounds. Just a loser. Your post like many on this board may not age well.

Looks like Oakton players nor parents can handle adversity! Players need to look in the mirror… coaches are not turning over the ball… players are…
Senior players are not leading the team. It’s easy to blame everyone else for lack of discipline and execution. At this time of year a player should not need much coaching but take responsibility in executing or lack there of!
I love it though as we will see them again and it’s great to see the bickering as we win another championship… thanks Oakton parents see you pick up the second place trophy again!

Love it when we blame the refs! Did you come into the game thinking you were going to get an awesome ref’d game? In Virginia? If you need the refs, then you aren’t going to win.

Better to be on the side the other team is complaining about. The winning team doesn’t have to complain about the refs!

Disagree. Refs did a decent job.

Missed a few in a hard fought game, but calls went both ways. Let the girls play in the 8M unless foul was entirely obvious.

Need to work on their approach to the charge rule and blind picks off the ball, but the checking and rides were fair and pretty consistent.

Remedy for Oakton to beat Madison is to get the lead. Madison hung on with a lead effectively. Oakton’s fault for not forcing a tie before half and many times down the stretch. They had their opportunities and didn’t produce. If Oakton gets the lead in that game it was over. Easier said than done however. Let’s see how the States go. Woodson and Robo are no pushovers.
