Nice gaslighting.
The openschools/anti-CRT crowd (funded by GOP donors) decided to infiltrate TJ PTSA and divide the community.
I'm so glad I only have one year to go and I won't have to deal with divisive f-ing a-holes like you. For you, everything has to do with race and not with actual education. CRT is explicitly racist and it is you who wish to indoctrinate. I don't know what incriminating crap you have on Democratic leadership or maybe they just have a death wish. The end result of this horseshit will be the end of public education.
The class of 2025 should do fine, but beware what you might be getting into if TJ doesn't change. It will be a big change from middle school. Actually I think it will be watered down. Maybe in the end you just got a long commute.

Yes, you perfectly described the drivel from 21:49. Go back to your hole.

Class of 2025 parent here. DS got in from Luther Jackson.
I don’t trust this PTSA as far as I can throw them. Their members have openly stated that members of my son’s class don’t belong at TJ, and there’s no way for me to know if they were talking about my son.
Looking forward to voting them and their like out next year. Lots of discussion in parent groups about this already.
PP (also, OP!) here. We came from LJMS also. Your child will do great - LJMS is a great school and my kid was fully prepared for TJ, despite not prepping and not coming from one of the feeders.
I don't blame you for wanting to vote them out - I would if I could still vote (2021). But, it sounds like because of the resignation, there is a two year term of office for the current crowd - I was not familiar with the whole President Elect concept. I hate to say it, but I think that as many parents as possible will have to attend meetings, etc to make sure the kids, not politics, are prioritized.
best of luck and congrats to your son!
Another LJMS parent here (2021). Your kid (and pretty much every other kid that got in this year) will do fine. For most of our 4 years (other than volunteering when needed) we rarely paid attention to who was on the PTA or the elections. The PTA for the most part is a set of volunteers with no real say in education policy or direction at TJ. Not even sure why this turned into a big deal. Their job is to work on behalf of the current students, not future ones, and if they do a bad job, they should be voted out.
While I'm ambivalent about the current PTA, I do believe they should be allowed to do their job given the fact that they were legally elected. I am shocked at the shenanigans of the outgoing president. As a democrat who was aghast at what Trump tried to do to stay in power, I did not appreciate all the efforts to try and cancel the elected PTA.
Didn't members of the elected PTA go against the PTA's charter and if so are there consequences for this?

VA PTA is very political. It should worry about its own mess and stay away from TJ.
“Them” in this statement referred to disgusting racist ideas, not disgusting racist people. Nevertheless, you can’t say crap like that and expect to keep your position. Shame, but she got what she deserved.
Yes. And she has already clarified.
Won’t stop the RWNJ outrage machine though. They are going to OUTRAGE! anything they can get their hands on until November.

Nice try. She's cooked.
+1. Can’t spin this away. “Them” sure didn’t sound like she was talking about ideals to me.
+2. You can't say "And to the live and let live people, let them die" and have anyone think anything other than the "them" refers to the "people" in the preceding clause.

Don't believe the rumors and racial bias posted here. Some posters don't even have kids. TJ was not a toxic place. It's the school board that divided the parents. You should think about voting out the school board and the politicians who created this drama. The TJ PTA officers are all good people including the just resigned president. It's the politicians who turned good people against each other.
Good luck to your son!
