Why would it? Who exactly is on the fence?
This. No one new is going to vote for a Trump who hasn’t already decided to do so.

Yup. Kavanaugh turned me from a never Trumper Republican to a Democrat. The whole thing was horrifying as a rape survivor. Both what politicians said/did and what conservative acquaintances said about it.

What good that money could have done to fight the fires, help the unemployed, homeless, survivors of Covid, flood victims, the elderly living in bad conditions. Now it lines the pockets of already affluent political operatives, media companies, lobbyists.

Filling this seat is worth more than the 2020 election. The GOP can lock up SCOTUS for a generation if we play our cards right.
I am afraid this will convince conservative people who don’t like trump to vote for him and R senators.
Again, OR it might convince Democrats, never Trumpers and similar folk to GOTV. That ActBlue thing was no joke. Americans don’t like the GOP.
And Americans don't like the Democratic Party, either.
Regardless of who wins in November, I think both parties are destined to splinter before the end of the decade.
Link?
Because polling suggests otherwise.
PP is delusional. The GOP has tied their longest streak of losing the popular vote since at least 1900 — 16 years. Before 2004 was another 16 years. They’re almost certain to lose it again this year, so that’ll make it officially a record.
Many people are voting for Biden not because he's a Democrat, but because he's not Trump. Support for Biden doesn't automatically equate with support for the Democratic Party.
You wait. Biden will win, and it's possible that both the Senate and House will go blue next year. Then, the real battle for the future of the Democratic Party begins: socialists/progressives vs. moderates. The socialists and progressives will likely yank the party further left, which will cause moderates to leave in droves -- following in the footsteps of blue-collar folks who felt the party abandoned them back in 2016. The "splinter" statement above makes some sense.
Yeah but that’s not because “Americans don’t like the Democrats.” It’s because the Democrats are internally split.
