Interesting that the NL 28s are ranked that high. They lost to M&D and tied the only other decent team on their schedule. The rest of their games are cupcakes.

Way too early for those rankings to mean anything outside of the top teams. As you said until they start playing against better competition we will not know much.

These rankings are really good come June, but right now, nearly worthless.

Seems to be a running trend for NL. LOW bracket placement for their teams

Wow - thanks so much for the really helpful tip!

There are no playoff scores posted on Tourney Machine for any of the games from the Mid Atlantic Showcase.

Any idea who they lost to and what the score was?

Do you know how the tourney machine app works? If you are invested enough into elementary school lacrosse to post on a forum about it, you should probably figure that app out to inform yourself.

My DD’s team played both BLC and NL this fall. I’m no expert, but from what I saw it seemed like NL gave them more of a fight. Probably wouldn’t be helpful to compare scores because NL game was shorter playoff game.

I guess I am not sue why anyone is trying to compare them in the first place. They are both average at best when it comes to the teams in DMV. If it is a parent deciding between the two, you are probably splitting hairs and should look at other MD or NoVa clubs before those two regardless.

Hit the nail on the head. All 3 MC teams are on a much lower level than Pride/Stars and don't even bother comparing to other MD programs.

Just curious why no one ever considers Rebels when talking about MC clubs. Seem to be fairly competitive with the others...

Excellent question. We switched from MC Elite to Rebels in 2020 and are happy we did (were with Bethesda before MC Elite). It is nice to have consistent coaching from local high school coaches and that is not mainly parent coaches. Rebels does tend to get more of the northern MoCo kids and pulls from Frederick and Howard as well. Maybe that is part of it?

Plus, Rebels is $1000 cheaper, at least, on top of everything else.

Happy for Next Level that they were at MidAtlantic at least. What year team was there?

28's and 29's.

How did the NL 29 team do at MidAtlantic?
