Hey Watch the BM video it actually depends on a club. If your player is being supported and developed and NOT ignored by the coach, then the league should be the decision factor.
Of course you want to keep arguing that your league is best so parents get confused.
Tell me a better league than the ECNL?
Leagues don't develop players. Did you forget your old mantra against DA already?
The leagues matter only for the showcase opportunities. Once your DD is already on some coaches’ radars, the league matters a whole lot less as long as the coach and team are helping her develop.

For girls, ECNL and DA/GA are good leagues for upper third players. EDP and NCSL are good leagues for middle third players. ODSL is a good league for lower third players. For boys, the situation is different.
Regardless of gender, the environment is an important part of player development, and placing your kid in an environment with similar or better caliber players is an essential component to their development.

Club support is important but there are some other things required for player development. Namely speed of play. Big gaps between some of the leagues mentioned.

Club? ECNL=GA=EDP=NPL=Other —-it comes to your club and your investment DC effort in the sport.

Watched it and I agree.
DD’s coach just spent an hour with her over zoom, discussing her highlights’ clip, colleges she’s interested in, and what she should put in her email to coaches.
She loves her coach and she’s happy where she is.
Exactly. This is why it is so tiring listening to ECNL backers talk about the league. Ask them to talk about their team, their club and they deflect to mega clubs. The point in the video about ECNL marketing is spot on.
Why should my kid join your club or your team? If you can’t answer that then go away.
