Look up the definition of federalism.

What an asinine point.
Trump is the figurehead of the Republican party, and state and local leaders take their cues from him. Not to mention Trump actively undermining state governors' stay-at-home orders, and bungling the distribution of PPE.
Seriously, what an asinine point. Did you think you were quite clever posting this?

A good friend of mine is in the same boat. Her brother is a huge Trump fan, went to a rally, refused to wear a mask and is now about to die. She's the only Dem in the family and has argued with them all year about Trump and Covid. She's devastated and really angry. I'm trying to be a supportive friend but it's hard.

Anonymous wrote:It just feels - I don't know. Like they bungled this response and are almost gleeful about it, while their leaders talk about sending old and other vulnerable people out to their deaths because one mustn't anger the stock market:
Their attitude toward climate change seems sort of similarly beyond nihilistic - nihilism would be like "well who cares" while they actually seem to actively pursue death.
Anyway, good times here in Trump's America!
