Far from worked up no pause to "take a breath" needed. I simply decided to point out to the previous posters in this thread who were insistent about pushing the narrative that it’s primarily a “black thing” to be intolerant of gays and that it's mainly a “black thing” to use violence against people who don’t subscribe to heteronormative ideals and gender roles that they are WRONG. Intolerance is a human thing and violence is a human thing meaning it's pervasive among all races and all ethnicities and it's worldwide. Just two weeks ago an angry mob was throwing bricks, stones, and fireworks at marchers in the first gay pride parade in Bialystock, Poland and it damn sure wadn't a mob full of black folks.
Nobody said "primarily". You inserted that and then have been arguing against it ever since.

Believe whatever you want.
I'm gonna push the narrative that intolerance is a human thing and violence against people who don’t subscribe to heteronormative ideals and gender roles is a human thing based on the homophobic attack on two lesbian women who were assaulted and robbed on the top of a double-decker bus in North London in June by five white teenagers ages 15 to 18.
I'm gonna believe what I want.

How would we know??
Sadly, homophobia is still rampant in AA urban communities. Some are woke, and some are not.
I don’t understand the use of the term homophobia in this context. A large segment of the AA community hates the gays based on religious beliefs. Few are afraid of gays.
JFC, do you HEAR yourself?
Do you understand how racist you sound!?!?
DP. You don’t understand what racism means. The PP was simply articulating an objective FACT.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Because of the racism, duh. The white nationalists who are jumping on this as a way to claim that black people are animals who should be shot or run from in fear.
Are you defending a bunch of teenage thugs for attacking a gay black man outside of a hotel just because they are black? Are you accusing others who find this unacceptable of being racists?? SMH.
No, that never happened. Just in your racist imagination.
So the video is just make believe and that DC is the land of lollipops, puppies and unicorns? Phew! Heading down to DC right now!![]()

The phrase “on the down low” exists for a reason.
That has what to do with anything?
The problem we’re here isn’t the AA community’s take on homosexuality, it’s your racism. Stop deflecting.
NP - Huh? There are endless tales in DC about black-on-gay verbal and physical abuse.
Was that the reason for the assault? Who told you? How do you know? Unless you have some conclusive evidence that the assault was predicated on hatred towards gays stop trying to push this argument.
You're talking to different people PP, and no one is pushing an argument. i personally hope there was a motive( even if unjustified), not randomly and savagely attacking? People are just wondering what the motive could ve. And there is a known challenge for gays in conservative AA christian communities, as in other conservative communities - not just xtian obvi. I say this both as a Christian and also friend to a black male in this predicament.
A known challenge for gays in conservative AA Christian communities, eh? Lol so your take on this incident is that those were young Sunday parishioners who jumped those guys cause for violating God’s word, is that it? Lawd y’all on whole ‘nother level with your audacity.![]()
Fact is you don’t know what prompted it so lay off criticizing entire an community especially when (for the 5 billionth time) black people are not a monolith. It’s plenty of blacks out here who accept and respect homosexuality, especially young blacks today cause it’s no shortage of Gen-Z AA kids who proudly identify as LBGTQ and while intolerance still exists out here it’s among ALL RACES so stop stigmatizing black folks.
You must not know anyone from DC, from a conservative community, who is black and gay, and worried about being ostracized by their community. That's OK.
