Want to wait on the waitlist for Cap City. How will I know if my number will be called before I enroll at Shepherd (by May 1). If I enroll that means I give up my spot at Cap City, right?

School is definitely a personal choice because this is the most hilarious thing I have read on this forum. You're in at Shepherd but you want to wait on the waitlist for Cap City???!!!!!!! bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

I wonder if they may not offer you the chance to change campuses? Petworth was the more popular option last year, people who wanted it ended up having to deal with Takoma. We were one of those people and transferred out due to logistics.

Last year there was movement for K, but not this much, I think. Speculation about how far it will go this year?

Actually we got in for K last year with a number in the upper 80s and were not even the last kid to join. Fourth week of school. The list barely budged all summer then dropped like a stone in mid-August. Wishing you luck!

This is also interesting given the "How do you find out how deep into the WL a school went last year?" thread. Inspired Teaching made 64 offers for K last year but that took it past 82 on the waitlist. (64 offers number from: https://public.tableau.com/profile/aaron2446#!/vizhome/MSDCSeatsandWaitlistOfferData/MSDCPublicDisplay)

Yes, very interesting! That means that at least 20ish people dropped off the waitlist. Encouraging!
Talk with Stella Monday 9 PM

Yeah I would think at least 25 dropped off the waitlist. They sent out an email at one point saying that two offers would be forthcoming and if people were not serious about it then to get off the list, and that day it went down at least 10 spots.

We have a waitlist number in the 30s for PK3 but they made 18 offers by October. Does that mean only 18 on waitlist of 18 seats? I know I’m grasping at straws and will be fine for where we landed but wonder how to know how many were asked. Anybody have Abe today data?

There are way more than that on the PK3 waitlist. They probably made 18 offers for 25 or 30 seats. They make a ton of offers for K because the class size goes up and some people leave.
