I think Trump has committed crimes. I think that we don't have all the evidence yet. I think that the Mueller report clearly showed that he obstructed justice. I think it's clear that he is going to obstruct justice again with Congress, to the best of his ability. I worry that despite impeachment, Trump will not fade away. I worry that there are significant numbers of crazy Americans who would follow Trump violently if he continues to shout "coup" and "treason".

What the liberals here just don't understand is this is our Constitution in action.
The House has issued subpoenas. The WH views those as bogus because the House has not taken a vote and because there is no vote, the House can implement their own rules. Those rules do not allow the Republicans any rights or authority in this process. The Republicans are not permitted to subpoena anyone. They don't have access to some of the material that the Democrats do.
So, the courts will determine who is correct in this situation. If it gets that far.

My bet is Nancy won't go to the courts because she is afraid she will lose and will be told that in order to continue, a vote must be taken.

And if they do rally to Trump's call for violence against the United states, what do we call that again?

It would be in Pelosi and the Democrats best interests not to take a vote but instead just continue to investigate using the excuse that witnesses and documentation are being blocked by the Trump administration.

Once it goes to trial, based on what we know to date, control will switch to the Republicans in the Senate and McConnell will milk it for all it is worth. Biden and his son will likely have to testify as will others and at the end of it all it Trump will be acquitted with all or almost all of the Republican senators voting for acquittal.

Impeachment has risks - first, it leaves vulnerable Democrats in the red states in a position where they have to take a stand. The Democrats could lose the House for what would in effect be a foregone conclusion when it gets to the Senate. Trump will claim that he was cleared. Also the senator for Alabama who is already in a dicey situation when it comes to reelection and however he votes, it will leave some who voted for him upset by anything he does in a trial.
