Subject: 2020 Senate Map
My uncle is buddies with Doug Jones. Was in his wedding, in fact. Sen Jones is a good person. He's also a lawyer by trade. He's exactly who you want on an impeachment trial. I think his vote will be based on evidence and fairness, not political calculation.
If it loses him his seat, that's a damn shame for the people of Alabama.

I would argue Jones's best bet is to do whatever he thinks is right - or what will get him a good job with the next administration - since he's so unlikely to win again anyway.

Give the voters of Alabama a little more credit. If Trump is using national security money to secure election help and betraying our allies to preserve Trump Tower Istanbul, the people of Alabama aren't going to like him nearly as much.

It will never happen. You think he’s been re-elected 5 times because he’s popular? Face it guys, elections are rigged. Our best chance is for him to croak soon but he’ll just be replaced with someone just as bad or worse.
