Swami says buy a Powerball ticket. It has better odds.

What do you think, Swami?

Swami says yes by count day, but you are the last in. You will remain unsure if you want to move your child in early October.

Swami says yes... shortly before school starts

I think Swami is wrong here - but good luck!

Just an update, I'm the OP, we got a call yesterday (two days before the start of school). Swami was right!

The eclipse made my 2017 powers strong!

We applied for pk-3.
#1 Two Rivers at Young
#3 Inspired Teaching Demonstration
#9 Capitol Hill Montessori
#29 Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom PCS (French Language Program)
#39 School within school

What do you think?
Thanks

Swami says you will get offers from TRY, ITS and CHML, so make sure your list is ordered in true preference.

Still no offer. When does swami think it will happen?

Swami we just got an offer from Inspired Teaching

Swami doubles down. Swami also wants to make sure once again your list is ordered in true preference.

as of today:
#1 Two Rivers at Young
#2 Inspired Teaching Demonstration
#5 Capitol Hill Montessori
#29 Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom PCS (French Language Program)
#38 School within school

Swami doubles down and is pot committed.

Swami we just got an offer from Inspired Teaching

Swami rests.

Thank you Swami

Swami needs to know where you started.

Started at 98. That's a lot, right?

Swami is going to hedge her bets and say you will get a call but not until almost count day, when they are going through 8-10 offers to fill one slot.

Thank you, Swami! FYI, we have one of the worst lottery numbers of all-- I believe we are dead last on the Shining Stars initial lottery list. None of our other picks have moved anywhere near as fast.

Their PK4 list was 98 people, so swami is sad to report, you indeed did have a crappy master draw.

Indeed. I was horrified at our initial numbers, but we are more than content at Seaton , and SSMA would be a stretch for our commute anyway. If we do get in, I would have to wonder if Shining Stars is the proverbial club that would have me as a member...
