I'm the belite PP from above. Down 11 lbs since 5/19. My preschooler baked a cake with DH this weekend and I didn't have any. And it wasn't really hard either. I used to love cake. It's weird...it's like my mind would try to slip into an old pattern of craving something and obsessing over it and then a switch would just turn off. I can't explain it. Like, meh, cake will still exist in the world if I ever really want it--don't care to trouble myself cutting a piece now.

I am very obese and have always had a fucked up relationship to food so this is really new to me.

I started with Dr Anchors May 4 and am down 14 lbs in 3.5 weeks. This is extraordinary as I suffer from Hashimotos and Hypothyroidism and struggle to lose weight. I will add that I have been reading and incorporating a little of The Obesity Code book and been doing some fasting. I now no longer believe that you need to eat three means a day to keep a healthy metabolism. I am never hungry. I had chipotle yesterday and couldn't eat 1/3 of a bowl. I'm eating a lot of veggies and lean meat but much smaller portions. I still have 33 lbs to go but feel so much better.

Nope. TOTALLY unrelated. I don't want to go into too many details, but it's a condition I've had since birth that requires regular checkups and screenings. I would have had the scare with or without the phen.

This is OP. I haven't checked in for a while and I apologize.

I had a significant health scare about a month ago (I'm ok, though, thank goodness, all much ado about nothing for now) that took up basically all of the time and attention not given to work and my toddler.

I'm a couple of weeks away from my taper down on the phen. I've lost 21 lbs in 10 weeks. I'm going to fall short of my 30 lb goal, but even I knew that was overly ambitious.

I've tried my best to follow Dr. Anchors. I still need a small snack at 4 pm, though. I could NOT hack it on keto.

What I typically eat in a day now:

Breakfast: Egg white/veggie omelet with fresh pico and 1/4 avocado (I sub in a real egg or a bit more avocado if I'm super hungry) and two slices of turkey bacon. If I'm in a rush, I get the spinach feta wrap at Starbucks and don't eat the wrap part. I drink a metric ton of green iced tea.

Lunch: Salad with some form of protein (I admit to using whatever comes to hand, including turkey pepperoni, rotisserie chicken, and skinless leftover turkey leg), fruit, and string cheese. I make my own salad dressing now to avoid the sugar. Also my own tomato sauce.

Dinner: A reasonable portion of whatever I made (split in half so I can have seconds). I do zoodles for myself if we're having pasta, cauliflower rice for rice, but I shrug at the corn and beans and just eat them. Too much effort to pick them out of a slow cooker dish.

Snack: I try to keep it to something like milk and berries, or veggies and hummus. But I'll admit to the occasional outshine bar. I drink tea at night. I only eat hummus and guacamole in single serving packets.

One day a week, it's more relaxed. I've also encouraged my husband to take our toddler for ice cream without me. I hate going along and eating nothing.

I've had a few slips this week, but overall, I seem to be in control. My weight followed a predictable pattern (there were two points in my cycle where I gained 0.4 and 1.4 lbs, respectively, every month). I need more water and more exercise, though.

Unexpected benefit: despite a higher fat diet, my cholesterol is down 30 points and my blood pressure is totally normal even on the phen.

I went in late April after reading this site, and having a good friend mention "phentermine' and am down almost 15 lbs, in five weeks. I'd like to take off about 60 in total.

The wired feeling tamps down after a while but if I "look" for it, I can usually tell i'm still buzzing a little, just much more able to focus when needed than the first week.
I take half at 7 am and another half around lunch.
I haven't experienced a lot of the side effects good or bad - no issues with dry mouth, sleeping or going to the bathroom. But never was completely disinterested in food either. I would say that it allows me to delay if needed. Before I was feeling like I was having low blood sugar attacks around 10am and MUST EAT SOMETHING RIGHT NOW to ward that off. Now I have breakfast, lunch and dinner - very much cut out the snacking.
I have considerably increased my water intake (from seltzer/sparkling or iced tea) and my skin appreciates that.

I did it in conjunction with another plan (WW Points+, not current program) because I wanted to be able to make sure I was eating enough and I was able to keep myself accountable once the meds were removed from the equation.
I also created a spreadsheet bc Dr. Anchors wants you to weigh yourself daily and I felt that I was beating myself up day to day for small gains or no loss days, when the general trend has been quite positive - that has been really helpful to me to look at this as a marathon, not a sprint. Also, it's helped clarify to me that eating enough is important, as the days that I significantly under eat doesn't get the big loss I would have thought. If I eat right around my daily points - which is quite easy without snacks and some weekly planning before grocery shopping, I'm moving in the right direction.

I miss coffee. I have been drinking decaf bc I enjoy the act of having a cup of coffee in the morning, but decaf is not the same. It has allowed me to give up sweetening my coffee, and I'm just drinking it with a splash of half and half.

NP here. Just saw Anchors for the first time this week. I was impressed with him- although quirky, he seems to know his stuff and has the science to back it up. I started PhenPro this AM, the half dose, and I definitely feel a little weird. Kind of feels like being on adderall (I took ADD meds when I was younger). Will this go away? I definitely feel a little "off."

I expected to feel more.....medicated. It's a pretty low dose though--they said they can bump me up to 30 mg if it's not working at my next appt.

It's definitely seemed to have killed my breakfast cravings. I'm still hungry though--not overwhelmingly so, but I do feel hunger.

I go to Belite, as well. I think they start everybody off on 15mg to see how sensitive you are to it first. It didn't help me at all. I noticed nothing. One week in, they bumped me up to 30 mg and that did the trick. It wiped out my appetite and took away cravings. I did feel a bit medicated then. I realized I wasn't thinking about food, and how often I had obsessed about what I'd eat next before.

Hi there, I'm the PP. I was down 7 lbs at my one week check in yesterday at BeLite. They bumped my morning dose up to 30 mg, and gave me 2 15 mg doses for the afternoon, so I can choose how much I do. I took my first 30 mg dose this morning. I feel awake, but not completely strung out or anything--I can tell the difference from the 15 though.

I do have a dry, itchy rash under my chin. I am 100% sure it pre-dates starting the phentermine--but I feel like it's gotten worse. Pretty sure it's a reaction to the BHA and retinol skin products I use, so I am dialing those back and am taking an antihistamine. But I know rash is a rare side effect of phentermine, so I am on the lookout for any further problems.

I started in early April and am down about 10 pounds from 200 to 190. Was hoping it would be more, but am plugging away slowly but steadily.

I saw Dr Anchors because I have tried to jump start weight loss with little success in the past few years ( although I have done it several times before). I was afraid he might be a huckster, but guess what - I followed his advice and am down 10 lbs in 3 weeks, and those pills take the urge away to stuff myself! Its actually been a great experience. I hope to continue with smaller portions and no snacking, and my grocery bill is much lower with out stuff I did not need to have anyway.

I think 3 lbs in one week is great progress. You don't want to lose too much too fast. You want to change your eating habits gradually so that they will stick. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

I mean this in the best way possible. This has been a very positive thread about people who are trying their best to lose weight. There has been no judgement and no negativity so far. Please go away. You clearly are not here to help and know nothing about these issues.

That was Dr. Anchors' response to me as well. "You're not fat because you're hungry; you're hungry because you're fat."
