I don't think anyone on here is anti-clubs. They are replying to the op about a particular club and answering her/his question candidly. All clubs don't discriminate but the one op asked about has a history of doing so and apparently according to some they are still doing it but more secretly. Instead of being on here and being so defensive why don't you go play some golf?


Have you read the thread? There is a loud and vocal contingent who is very anti-club.

Trying to educate people who have no idea how clubs work because they have never been a member of one, let alone on the membership committee isn't being defensive. It's pointing out facts.

They could bring in witnesses who unless they want to go to jail for lying in court - would have to tell the truth.

Libel and defamation are not protected by club laws. Furthermore can you imagine what would be revealed when people must testify and are gross examined in court for rascist things they have said.

Suing would allow all of the private conversations and letters to come into light meaning that if someone lied about someone and they never had a chance to defend themselves, causing their family harm, then yes that would entitle a lawsuit.

Why would anyone even want to be a part of a club that ostracizes others? I guess the desire to be a part of the so-called 'cool kids' never leaves some adults. I wasn't above it as a 14-year old but when I realized what chuckleheads the 'cool kids' were, I never looked back. Don't go where you're not wanted. Plenty of other great associations (and cool ) out there.
