Hmm, what outlets are you reading? I have not read these horrible comments anywhere. And are the posters identifying themselves as Black?

....and there it is!!! I was wondering how long it would take for someone to scream racism.
Some truth to what PP is saying, yes?

Anonymous wrote:Political correctness be damned -- look at this guy. He looks like a monster. Why would you even presume innocence!? Is there some law that says black men can't look respectable and clean cut?
And as for HG -- I hope she's found ok, but seriously to go out looking like that (which I realize many college girls do) and then to be stumbling around alone drunk and/or drugged -- made her an easy target. Are parents and/or schools no longer having safety talks because the world should be so safe that no woman should ever be a target for a man -- so she should be able to walk around however she wants anywhere at any time? Because that's not the world we live in.

The suspect appears to have been the last one seen with her. Then she disappeared. That's the primary reason we have as to why he's a suspect.
If he were white, I don't think things would be any different at this point - especially if a white suspect also had a past involving crime and possible sexual assault against women.
Who assumed racism?
Have you been reading this thread. It's been said many times that he is acting erratically not because he did it but because he's scared of being framed because he's black.
Oh, please. An innocent person acts innocent, no matter what color they are. Running off to Texas is not the act of an innocent man.
Unless you have been accused of a crime and facing life in prison, you have know idea how an innocent person acts.
I think by the end of the day Mr. Dreads will be facing more than just life in prison.
You are probably right, because people like you always remind us that our justice system is flawed. You have already convicted and executed this man before a the prosecution has admitted any evidence and the accused given the opportunity to rebut. In your mind, the trial is just preliminary necessity.
Kind of like Ferguson where the cop was convicted by the media and the public with out the facts...

Major news sources, including CBS News, reported the same thing -- more accurately he was accused of rape and while no criminal charges we filed he was expelled over the incident.
How's that crow taste? Do you like it roasted, or baked in a pie with vegetables and a cream sauce?!
He was accused of rape, there was no evidence to arrest him and the woman dropped the charges. Sorry, no crow eating here.
No one said he was criminally charged. But there was obviously enough evidence of serious misconduct that Liberty U expelled him, which is what the media outlets reported Sometimes it takes more than an Ivy League degree to sniff out the details of a story. "Lesser" outlets than the NYT clearly have their place.
Liberty U has a prohibition against sex. He was expelled for having sex, not sexual assault.
Was the victim expelled? If not, then I think it turned on forced non-consensual sex that fell short of the evidence needed to get a rape conviction.

This is false. There was a rape allegation.[/quote]
An allegation, you are correct. Anybody can make an allegation against anyone. Heck, you can allege that your husband raped you. Proving an allegation is different. I guess that's why allegations, accusations, arrests are not admitted in a court of law because if I don't like you, I can accuse you of poisoning my dog without evidence
