I'm not Catholic, and I can tell. This has got to be fake, unless it's actual Catholic clergy posting on DCUM.
I'm Catholic and none of the priests I've known in 4 decades have ever spoken this way about Catholics or non-Catholics.

If our children expressed the Roman Catholic Catechism on any number of hot button issues such as homosexuality or abortion, they would be suspended from most top tier DC private schools.
Really? can you provide an example of that happening or any documentation from private schools indicating that expressing these points of view will result in suspension?
I think most Catholic parents teach their kids what not to say in certain places. Can you imagine a sidwell student saying that homosexual acts are intrinsically sinful or wrong, what the teacher (and then administration) would do to that child? Can you imagine the social ostracism.
Like jews in the inquisition, we practice in secret.
So you practice hating in private?
hate & hypocrisy
great combination
The Catechism teaches this -- which you call "practicing hate." Why let us practice our religion at all? When will posters like this demand to take away our tax-status and then close our churches entirely? As I said, Catholics will be hunted like dogs in the end times.

Well, dogs are pack animals. So your analogy says more about you than you probably cared to share.
What if your child were gay? You'd disown him/her for acting on it? talk about social ostracism, you hypocrite!
Or maybe you'd try "conversion therapy" instead?
And even if you live your hypocrisy in secret, it comes out in one way or another. Anyone can see the fear in you. I know I could - especially after spending the bulk of my days in Catholic school. complete brainwashing
So go away. Your cruel god is not a good god. If we're all created in HIS image (b/c he's male obviously :roll, why would HE hate his own gay children? Answer that one for me, Mother Mary.
God doesn't hate gays, he just doesn't approve of gay sex. Hate the sin; love the sinner. [just repeating what I've heard. no longer catholic myself]
from one ex to another
What does that even mean?
According to this belief system,
1. God created us in his image.
2. God created gays.
3. Gays like other gays. So sex is only natural, right?
But if they have sex with each other, it's a sin.
Where's the sense? Why create a tormented soul then? And if this was God's point, how kind can God be?
It's all bullshit.

+1. I posted "Please, troll, stop" above and I'm different from this PP. I repeat: nobody talks like this IRL.
For the person asking why we come back, in my case at least it's because this troll is creating a completely inaccurate perception of Catholics and religious people in general. I'm not Catholic, but I'm sick of being a bystander to the anti-Catholic bigotry here, so I've decided to do what's right and call out this obvious troll.
Fine -- your choice -- also your choice to call "bigotry" what others would call "truth" or "lies" or "opinion"
I don't know if the person speaking as an ultra-conservative Catholic is for real, but I do know there are Catholics like that, as well as people from other religions who have similar restrictive beliefs and negative attitudes about people who do not share their beliefs.
Well, I've reported that PP to the moderator and we'll find out if s/he's a troll.

Oh, so you come to attack a true Catholic so that the anti-Catholics will not be exposed to Catholic beliefs but instead to your version of Catholic-lite?
