How in the world do you make that much as a tutor?
I have a specialty, and I am good at marketing. I could probably make more if I actually left my house, but since I don't want to, I am happy with what I am doing.

Interesting. We're both doctors (who trained at Hopkins/Harvard/Stanford) and all our siblings are doctors and we know dozens well more well from school and training.
To make a million in medicine you have to: 1) be a spine surgeon in a insanely busy practice 2) be a cash only plastic surgeon in NYC or LA or 3) be an interventional cardiologist who stents vessels that don't need to be stented 4) be a derm path at a major center
I'd bet the number of docs in American who make more than a million actually practicing medicine full time (not working in industry, etc) is only a few hundred, if that.

what doctors earn $1 million plus?
Even the cash-only plastic surgeons I know don't earn half of that.
The best doctors in certain specialties earn that, I know because I have several doctors in my family.

I agree about the major plastic surgeons earning a lot. You would be wrong about the number of high-paid doctors being only a few hundred in the entire United States, though.
