Silpada uses them for the full line and Stella & Dot uses them for only part of the line but the other portion of the line is made in the same facility which produces jewelry for Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. So I think any issue with quality a person has is actually a matter of style preference. I've been to a few shows & there were several pieces I picked up & really looked at which were very nice, heavy, etc and many of the ladies there had previously purchased and really enjoyed the line.
Ultimately, to each his/her own, but I think its not exactly accurate to say that its cheap.
Gee I must have been very lucky with all the pieces, 50+ I have purchased would be interesting to know what the real percentage of returns are due to shoddy quality with this company?Anonymous wrote:I cant believe all the negativity here on this forum regarding Stella and Dot makes me wonder what sort of people browse this type of forum?...I have been buying Stella and Dot jewellery and other fashion pieces for years and absolutely love it...some of the cheaper pieces have not lasted as long as I would have liked but I have been wearing it everyday or very often especially the elastic pieces they did not last but overall I am very happy with my purchases especially with all the compliments I get when I wear them. I really love the bags and purses they are my Fav! Even when my broken piece was no longer available I was able to get credit for something else. I cannot believe all the lies that seem to be told about its quality on this forum! Makes me very very suspicious...and about the business model wake up its just social selling word of mouth selling dealing with local reps rather than head office... you can just go online or buy direct from the catalog which I have done heaps of time... if you dont want to see the products in person which is the reason I go to shows as they look very different to online photos.. dont go to one of the 'parties' (I dont think they call them parties?)and politely decline especially if it is your friend...I dont understand how people feel obliged to buy if they dont like it or feel pressured to buy come on grow up.. how stupid...just be honest and dont go or dont buy! I will continue to buy it as it is fashion forward, different and good quality for the money and most importantly I feel great wearing it! I do agree some of it is a bit pricey but that is because it is best quality. If I am not happy with any of the pieces I just send it back to my rep simple and get it replaced or refunded. Dont listen to all this negative crap here...go and check it out for yourself then you will know the real truth.

He spent 150.00 for the set, and I have honestly seen better looking pieces at K-Mart. When I told him I did not like it, he agreed that he himself was shocked that it was such junk, but he didn't want to be a jerk and return it via a coworker. Awkward! So, now I have to find someone I don't like like to give it to. Maybe I can give it to Goodwill or a 5 year old.
