Distracted and terrible driving, poorly maintained car, negligence to check if kids were wearing seatbelts, allowing rudeness, inappropriate behavior and trash talking in the car - we saw this behavior when I was also in the car of one parent who gave us a lift one time. So, that was my one exposure and then DH and I decided that we would not let our kids do carpool with someone else. I am perfectly fine driving other people's kids around if I am asked. I will happily do the carpooling, wait for them for pickup and drop off, let them wait for their parents at my house, provide meals and free childcare etc at my house, host events at my own house...all of this so that I can let my kids have fun and have friends...but I do not trust others with my children.
But other parents need to trust you. OK, got it

And coming to the US was a choice you made. I don’t like things about the US either like the healthcare system and how the working poor get little to no help. But I would still choose here rather than many other places. That being said I can’t imagine making a choice to move to another country and raise my kids there just to shit on things and call the people who are from there “dangerous” and not “people I want my kids to spend time with”. You know you can leave right?
Let me break it down for you. They are here to make money and ensure that their children get a good education and into high paying careers. They are not going to "leave" no matter how much they disapprove of American culture.

Here are the American things I don't do or allow my kids to do (deleted the "cultural" because WTF) --
- Abandoning democracy
- Racism
- Misogyny
- Homophobia
- Blaming others for your own failings
- Not valuing those doing jobs you don't want to do
- Abandoning courtesy
- Abandoning graciousness
- Abandoning the actual words of the Bible
- Abandoning the Constitution
- Believe everything you hear without research
- Follow a cult
Just a few for example...
Please expand on how these are “American” things.
Um, I'm not sure we have the bandwidth on this forum to host the media, court decision docs, federal agency RIFs, X and Truth Social posts, etc. to explain how these are our current American things. But if there is a need for me to produce videos, news articles, publicly accessible federal court and Supreme Court decisions, etc., I am happy to do so. In the meantime, your local news, Google, Instagram, colleagues, and friends can also provide context.
Please take your garbage to the political forum. That’s what it’s for, not here. Also, please move out of the US since you hate it so much.
Well, thank you for proving my point - did not realize that being pro-choice, pro-women, pro-sexual freedom, pro-immigrant, pro-democracy was garbage. This is American. Not political. I'm a proud member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames and my husband is a member of the Mayflower Society. Our roots are very, very deep, so nope, I'm here to fight for my country. You can save your "go home/why don't you leave BS".
So your ancestors started slavery.

Who wants their teen kids having sex? Most UMC white parents do not. So why judge immigrants for not letting their kids date?
It’s mostly weird that these judgy immigrants ITT think teen dating is somehow exclusively an American behavior. Ignorant and frankly weird.
Especially when they come from a place with teen brides.
Mormons anyone? Plenty of child brides down south too.
We’re talking about teen dating and child brides NOT being EXCLUSIVE to America, dear. And child brides are certainly not a commonly accepted part of American culture.
Try to keep up.
American who try to claim moral superiority deserve to be roasted hard and often.
Literally the person who started this thread did so to say all the things she hates about the US. But ok.
Where is the proof that person in not American?
