Do not underestimate a Vance / Luna ticket. Southern states like GA and VA that Trump had trouble with it lost will be locks against most Dem candidates, Vance will be strong in the Rust Belt, and Luna will help with Hispanics in Nevada and Arizona.
"Going to have to contend with" isn't how I would describe that ticket. MAGA isn't going to stand in line for Vance, nor does the Republican ticket have any real shot with the Independents. 2026 and 2028 are already lost causes for the Republicans.
MAGA isn’t getting in line for a democrat either
Nobody said they were. They're just not getting in line this time.

Isn’t this kind of how Bush got in?
Translation: people feared for their kids losing the privilege that their race gave to their parents' generation. So give them the white male they want. America isn't ready for true equality yet.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Just give all these racist misogynists the white male they need and let's be done with it. They'd rather vote for an immoral white man than any minority woman. We just need to acknowledge that's where a third of Americans are right now. Let's "meet them where they are".
I think 90 percent of Americans were scared off by DEI and its impact on jobs. The way it was implemented gave racial and gender benefits to certain groups and made it very difficult for other groups to compete for jobs. So there’s a wariness of electing a black woman for president today. The assumption being that DEI hiring will be back. It’s not fair, but Democrats really messed up during the Biden years. Which is another reason why Democrats struggle with trust even after the Trump disaster.

Who cares. Would she be a good president is the question. And she would.
No. She is a blowhard with no original ideas and no real values other than self promotion. She threw Biden under the bus and wrote a book instead of stepping up and doing anything. I have never heard her say anything but boring platitudes.
Fwiw I voted for her.
I don’t care if she’s boring, I don’t care if she has original ideas. I care that she isn’t the current disaster we have in the White House.
I think Kamala Harris has alienated almost everyone at this point. Some people associate her with Biden and that is a negative for them. And those who like Biden feel like she was disloyal and threw him under the bus.
Besides, don't we know from history that Americans are "one and done" with nominees? Obviously if you are the leader of a cult, you can overcome that but most people can't. I hope Harris moves on.
Of course I will vote for her if she is the nominee. Anyone associated with this anti-American administration, including every single cowardly Senator, will never get a vote for me ever, no matter who the opponent is.
You think? That’s your rightful opinion. Although it’s early to predict 2028, take a look. https://www.thecentersquare.com/national/article_c0cbe579-b306-4407-a57b-6b590288daa3.html
