There's a reason protests are also called "demonstrations." They are a way we telegraph, yes to people oppressing us, but more importantly to each other, what is millions believe.
Overthrowing the current regime will help in the very short term but it'll just eventually be replaced by another billionaire regime until we can tackle the root of the problem. The root of the problem is money corrupting our political system to the extent that our major political parties have become too weak and dysfunctional to serve their purpose as intended.
Get to the root of the problem! The Trump era would never come to existence in an adequately functioning political system!
Who says that isn’t the plan? You seem intent on being cynical. Congratulations, you are doing exactly what authoritarians want. Sucker!
How is tackling the root of the problem so that we don't have another Trump in a few years "cynical"? You sound like one of those MAGA fruit loops whose shoe size is greater than their IQ. Crawl back under your pedo rock.
Democrats ARE the root of the problem. Unchecked wide òpen immigration, acceptance of crime, pushing for reparations through inter-generational guilt and reverșe racism and bigotry, working tirelessly to silence dissent to their party views, outright statism, and weaponizing gov against the citizenry.
As awful and dysfunctional as the Dem Party has become, the nomination of Trump in three consecutive general elections puts the GOP ahead in the race to have most to do with the root of the problem. This is an undeniable fact.
I'm not talking about dysfunction in the dem party. I'm talking about dysfunction in the govt as an appendage of the DNC.

My favorite signs were the simple ones:
THIS WAR COSTS $12 BILLION/DAY
NO KINGS. NOT ANYONE. NOT ANYONE.
THIS VETERAN OPPOSES FASCISM.
Some funny costumes and inflatables. Lots of cars honking as encouragement. Definitely fewer people flipping the bird to protesters. For the first time in my experience at one of these, zero Trump flags.
I liked running into my kid’s elementary school teacher there. Also saw a bus driver from the district, which was cool. A number of young people handing out zines about how to push for more generational change.
I went alone, didn’t remain alone. A good day.
