People are criticizing Naomi's performance because it comes off as weird, but Jackie really was that stilted and affected. Go watch the Jackie O White House tour. Naomi is doing a slightly less affected version of that, which makes sense, since she probably wouldn't be that stiff in private. But she had that very affected accent and breathy voice.

Anonymous wrote:Does anyone else feel like the actor playing JFK jr is not doing a great job portraying him?
He comes across as too meek and nice. Whereas interviews I have seen of JFK jr show him as being really confident and slightly cocky.

We know nothing about the inner workings of these two except what someone at work or who met them at a gala said. Yes, he was unusually good looking and from a famous family, but was he any smarter or kinder than an anonymous guy sitting in a cube at EY?
Wasn't he kind of a himbo?

I like the music and 90s vibe and costumes but JFK Jr seems like a sweet shy man and that's not at all how he seemed, like they removed all the magnetism and confidence from him. Do not care for Meryl's dd who is just the dullest actress in everything. The one who steals the show for me is Kelly Klein.
Does anybody see even the faintest physical resemblance between the actress & Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg?
I don't think Grace resembles Caroline but I think she did a great job with the posture and mannerisms, and did a good job of capturing Caroline's practicality and guardedness. I also think the styling is pretty good:
The styling IS good but I think they portray Caroline is a stuffy bore with zero personality or inner joy whatsoever. Being guarded does not mean you are like that especially when with loved ones.
I think she is a stuffy bore! I remember when there was talk of her running for office in New York. She was hyped up and then did some interviews. She was awful snd that idea went out the window. I don't think she's very interesting. She doesn't seem like a bad person and seems to have survived incredible tragedies with grace, but she does seem boring and dull.

I actually think the actress captures her likeness remarkably well. Her shaggy hair, her walk, her voice. I agree Daryl Hannah is supremely irritating and whiny in this show, but job well done on the actor’s part.
The actors portraying Carolyn B and John don’t capture their essence at all. And of course Naomi Watts playing Jackie is a joke. Terrible casting.
The Daryl Hannah portrayal is a hoot. It is not flattering but probably accurate. She was probably very Hollywood-New Age.
How’d she end up married to Neil Young?

Can you elaborate on this?
NP. They fought a lot and his hubris resulted in her death and sibling's death.
np Read the book 'Ask not" The Kennedy men and the women they destroyed. None of the Kennedy men come out looking good
+1 it’s excellent t
