the day school was out
yes the day of elections right on school grounds in broad daylight with a gun!
at nearly 6pm when there was no school. Some fear mongering.
There was an armed robbery with a gun at 5:39 pm on a weekday on the back field of HB. If you don't know HB, the small back field is right next to the school. School was not in session due to voting, but voting was taking place inside the building.
What are you talking about calling this fear mongering? That's trolling. These are the exact details as reported by police. I think it's reasonable for me -- as a parent of an HB student -- to be concerned.
I'm an HB parent too. An urban thing happened in an urban area when the only kids around live there. That's what's important. Those kids, not necessarily ours. If you don't like it, don't let yours leave campus during the day or go back to your neighborhood school. You are fear mongering. I am not trolling. I was offering facts. You didn't start with the fact of time or that school wasn't in session that day.
What are you talking about? I posted an accurate report and linked to the Arl Now article that clearly stated the time of day and the date. All you had to do was click the link to see the details. Facts and concern are not fear mongering. You seem to be oddly dismissive of this. An armed robbery on your kid’s school grounds is really of no concern to you at all? And please explain how does it help to block my kid from leaving campus when the robbery took place on campus?
As an APS parent looking at high schools I would honestly be more concerned about the number of W-L kids involved in DUIs than one robbery taking place on the H-B campus in the eight years it has been in Rosslyn

HUB stop at W&L Picks up about 8:30 and gets to school on time. Key school hub stop picks up at 8:20 and gets to school on time. That's all I know.
Does anyone know whether the gates at the track on W&L on the Quincy side are open so kids can walk through the school to the Stafford side? Or is everyone expected to walk around W&L?
There's an entrance to the school on the Quincy side, you don't have to walk through the track/football stadium. It's near the annex.

What’s your point? The W-L kids were not at fault and one was innocently driving home. The McLean teenager’s punishment was minimal. I’m sure you know the actual story but you leave out the context.
Do you know the definition of irony? Or recognize it when you see it?
