OP here. I look great (size 6, beautiful face, dress well), and can cook but I don't cook often.

You're in your 40s. You might not be fat, but you don't look great. Rich men aren't going to settle for an old lady.

46 is not old. Far from it. And these men are also “old”. I know plenty of wealthy men who date women their age

Not just 40s but late forties?

No one with that kind of money is going to be interested. You have literally nothing to offer.

You sound mentally ill. How can age alone tell you whether a woman has something to offer?

She's old- her body is well past its prime and is just going to get worse. Rapidly.

She's past childbearing years.

She has baggage-- kids and an ex-husband.

She has a busy job that will limit vacations/activities.

If you read her posts in this thread, she certainly doesn't have a pleasant personality. (Perhaps that factored into the divorce)

Her money is an asset, but she only wants someone rich enough that it wouldn't matter to them.

Anyone rational is going to pick a younger, potentially less wealthy person. Not a 46-year-old divorcé with kids. You know that.

This says a lot about you and what you think about women. A woman who can't have kids and isn't physically perfect has nothing to offer? Someone damaged you and I feel sorry for whoever has to deal with you.

You don't have to like it, but you know this is exactly how wealthy men will think and act.

If you say so? You're trying to sell me on an opinion I know is baseless. I don't need to argue with you, but I do find your misogyny very creepy.

Says who?

I meet white women IRL who espouse these kinds of opinions all the time as if these are rock solid rules for everyone. Yet I don't think any of you can even tell the difference physically between a woman of color at 35 versus 45 unless she's an aggressive drinker or does drugs.

I'm a 47 year old well-educated "Blasian" woman and wealthy white men my age and younger are all over me. Especially the ones with a white first wife who feel they're "allowed" to marry interracially the second time around. The weird thing is that the same white men tell me they won't date white women over 40.

What is going on with white people and these creepy age cut-offs for white women?

You might date a 46 year old for a while, maybe, if they're still in good shape for their age. But that's an age where things go downhill fast physically and psychologically. You're not going to want to be with them when they hit 50.

And yes, you absolutely can tell the difference between a 36 year old and a 46 year old, particularly once the clothes come off. They feel very different, too.

The reality is very few Americans earn over 100k.

The median salary for full-time workers in District of Columbia was $100,257 as of 2023 Census data. And that's before you filter to male college grads who are in their 40s or older.

That doesn't change the fact that there are very few.

There's no way a 46-year-old is getting a rich guy. [b]She literally has nothing to offer./b]

Why do you keep posting this in the thread? You seem to really need this to be true.

You think I'm the only one saying that here? lol

Your insecurities are jumping out. You can't be that happy with your regular guy if you're this bothered that OP doesn't want a man like him.

why do women bring to the table then - emotional intimacy, peace, harmony, care, support, love and understanding. All this is more important for me than money and sex. So, at 46, what do you really care about? It is not your beauty that's the strength but other factors above so play with your strengths.

The part that really makes this wild is the OP insisting on a ridiculous income. A rich guy has no reason to particularly seek out a rich girlfriend. Once you remove that criterion, the guy is going to be able to get everything else in a nice package. And that won't be a 46-year-old.

I don't understand why men have to make more than you, OP. If you are going to think and act like this instead of finding true love then you would never be satisfied and would always find grass greener on the other side.
