So far, 3 Columbia, 3 UChicago, 2 Princeton, 2 Dartmouth, and 2 Duke (one hasn’t posted yet).
I expect several more T10/15 postings once the rest of the Ivy+ release early decisions later this week.
Sounds like Walls. Except it’s not free.
University of Chicago - I believe they are ED0.
Not to diminish their talents - but it is not the same.
Walls so far has a Harvard, 2 Princetons, 2 Dartmouths, a Johns Hopkins, etc. A public school with 150 kids, real racial and economic diversity and an average SAT scores below 1300. VERY impressive. I'd take that over a Sidwell any day of the week.
Out of 125 students, Sidwell has a Harvard, a Yale, 3 Columbia, 3 Cornell, 3 UChicago, 2 Princeton, 2 Penn, 2 Dartmouth, and 2 Duke. I’d take that (and Sidwell’s superior education and campus) over Walls any day. Actually, my children had that choice and did just that.
Did your children have the same options?
I'm a NP but your superior attitude and rudeness, typical of prestige-obsessed and classless private school parents, and likely their children, are exactly the reasons both my kids picked Walls over Sidwell. And yes they were admitted to Sidwell.

Anonymous wrote:People posting how well Sidwell did in this ED round. BCC has done even better! Unless your child needs permanent hand-holding, there is no value in private schools.

Anonymous wrote:I think if your goal is college admissions, private school is a poor investment. If your goal is the best possible education, then you have to factor in which public, which private, and your kid. I also think, public or private, the top kids are the top kids anywhere, plus in both settings, the top kids with hooks are by and large the ones getting in to these schools ED. The regular round is more competitive numbers-wise, but unhooked kids have a better shot in the spring. I did hear that if your student is deferred from an Ivy or equivalent, they're unlikely to get admitted to that particular Ivy, but they very well may get into a different top school.

It's pretty clear from looking at what these kids have been posting on the IG pages that an earlier poster attached to this thread that many of the public schools around here are doing just as well as the privates, even the top ones, in getting their students into excellent colleges.
No way in hell would I pay for private around here!
And this is why I went public.
