I had never even heard of Kendrick Lamar before last year's halftime show, but his performance was genius. It still gives me the chills.

I think the message at the end being “the only thing more powerful than hate is love” is very unifying. His entire show was about caring for your family and community.

What if someone doesn’t care for him artistically or the performance but agrees politically and with the sentiment? It’s art, people are allowed to dislike it while supporting the sentiment.
