Frugal Fannies

The bob is the chin length, asymmetrical and often suburban 'do that should be called a don't. Most of the time, the women who favor that cut just should not be wearing it.

Lately, I have seen it with two, three or more colors "professionally" streaked into the hair, sometimes with one color on the top and another color on the bottom. Looking at it, you will not believe anyone actually paid to look that way. The wearers often think it looks better than it does. Just say no!

I wish you could post a picture--I don't even know what a bob looks like. And the feathered Farah look was just a suburbanite thing- private grad here--plenty of girls from Bethesda had those feathered haircuts at private school. In fact, I'm not really sure it meant anything. Most peoples' hair was just bad all through the 70's and early 80's. Is a bob just a short cropped thing like an Ellen Degeneres? I think its cute.

80s hairstyle separation between private and public school kids. If you went to private school you had to have a bob. If you went to public school, you had to have a feathered, flip.

Yes! I was a student at Georgetown then and demonstrated against the university shutting WGTB down. But I think part of the problem was that GTB hadn't done enough to get Georgetown students involved so I was something of an outsider at that demonstration.
